The Henry WeHo’s ‘wine of the month’ program, which spotlights a rotating wine feature & suggested pairing. In October, the greatest neighborhood restaurant will feature a Southern Italy Red, Capolino Aglianico Brizio. From Capolino Perlingieri winery (female producer, 4th generation, certified Organic in Italy), this wine is made with Aglianico grapes in the Campania region and works well with beef and pasta—pair it with The Henry’s Braised Beef Short Rib (mascarpone creamed corn, horseradish gremolata) and Sweet Corn Pasta (handmade tagliatelle, roasted mushroom, asparagus, tomato, truffle butter).
This young Aglianico has tasting notes of violets, plums, ripe cherries juicy notes merged with soft tannins and fresh acidity. It is an everyday glass of wine, perfect for a fall evening. Bundle up with a scarf and enjoy a glass on the dog-friendly patio overlooking Robertson Boulevard, of course while savoring a few of The Henry’s delicious dishes.
